Antigrippin for children is made in the Netherlands or Poland by Natur Produkt. The product is produced in effervescent tablets, which can be packed both in strips (one contains 6 tablets, and a total of 30 tablets), and in plastic tubes (10 tablets are placed in one such package). These pills are pink, and the drink made from the medicine has a fruity sweet taste.
In such a combination of medicine, there are immediately 3 active substances:
Paracetamol. This compound is presented in one tablet at a dose of 250 mg.
Chlorphenamine maleate. Such a substance is contained in each tablet in a dosage of 3 mg.
Vitamin C. The content of this vitamin in 1 effervescent tablet is 50 mg.
Additional ingredients of the drug are silicon dioxide, sorbitol, Na carbonate and hydrogen carbonate, citric acid, flavor, Na saccharin, as well as povidone and macrogol. There is no sugar in the medicine, therefore, Antigrippin is allowed for diabetes.
Thanks to the combination of several active ingredients at once, Antigrippin for kids relieves the symptoms of a cold and accelerates recovery from ARVI.
Paracetamol in its composition has an antipyretic, as well as analgesic effect. Such an ingredient helps to get rid of headaches and other pains, and also normalizes the patient's body temperature.
Ascorbic acid present in Antigrippin for children is important for regenerative and oxidative processes in tissues, and also helps to increase the body's resistance to disease.
Chlorphenamine, which is also found in Antigrippin for children, blocks histamine receptors. Antigrippin effervescent tablets for children are not prescribed:
If the child has intolerance to vitamin C, paracetamol or some other component of the drug.
If an exacerbation of peptic ulcer is diagnosed.
If the child’s kidney or liver function is severely impaired.
If the baby is less than 3 years old.
If examination by an ophthalmologist has revealed angle-closure glaucoma.
With viral hepatitis or congenital hyperbilirubinemia, the drug should be used very carefully. It is important to consult a doctor about the appointment of Antigrippin for kids for tumor processes or a high level of iron in the child's body, since ascorbic acid is undesirable for these problems. During pregnancy or while breastfeeding, Antigrippin is not recommended.
The medicine is a water-soluble form, so its negative effect on the digestive tract is minimal.

At the age of 3-5 years, the drug is given twice a day in half a tablet. For a child older than 5 years, a single dose will be a whole effervescent tablet. If the child is 5-10 years old, the medicine is given twice a day, and at the age of over 10 years, a three-time intake is also acceptable.
Without consultation with a doctor, children can give Antigrippin no longer than three days if the drug is used to reduce high fever, and no longer than five days if the main reason for giving the medicine is severe pain.
Adult effervescent Antigrippin is given to children over 15 years old in a dose of one tablet or one sachet twice or thrice a day.
Exceeding the recommended dose for the child by age, Antigrippin for kids causes diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain, severe sweating, dizziness, loss of appetite, severe nausea, insomnia, seizures, agitation, and other negative symptoms.
